Our grandmothers' households are a modest guide to a healthy independent life, proven by the daily efforts of generations of women to lead a dignified and natural life in harmony with nature and their nature. The book brings a complete set of unique information from the practical life of our ancestors, which goes back at least a hundred years in history, but often even further. Historical cookbooks, period trade recipes, professional publications and an archive of family handwritten recipes from the end of the 19th and the first half of the 20th century were used to compile the Household of our Grandmothers. In the book, we can take a look into the ancient kitchen, shed or pantry, relive the traditional ways of processing and storing grain, potatoes, pulses and oilseeds, home processing of milk, canning eggs or processing vegetables and mushrooms, and all this without artificial preservatives, refrigerators, freezers, vacuum cleaner. Each chapter is accompanied by proven recipes by the author.
