Anna Hart is a seasoned detective story with a dark past and a present living in San Francisco, where she searches for missing children. The last, if not the greatest life twist gets to her knees and finds refuge in the nearby town of Mendocino, where she spent the most important part of her childhood. He hopes to return to peaceful memories where he can flee his grief, but immediately after his arrival, her higher instinct wakes up - to save. She learns that a local girl is missing, who reminds her of a key moment of childhood, when one unresolved murder has changed the whole community of the town forever. It will not resist its call and full of force will embark on a case that reveals much not only about the town itself and the lost girl, but also to her.
