The school atlas of today's Czech Republic is published in its second updated edition, expanded by 16 pages, with the main novelty of general geographical maps of individual regions of the Czech Republic as well as a series of thematic maps of individual areas of life in the contemporary Czech Republic, including maps of the development of borders in individual historical stages. As part of the edition of school atlases, Dnešní svět, published by the TERRA publishing house, follows on from the School Atlas of the World of Today. With its thematic focus and the number of detailed general geographical maps, it covers the demands for modern teaching about the Czech Republic in the context of Europe and the world from the perspective of geography and related educational fields at the second level of elementary schools and in secondary schools. It corresponds to the requirements of the Framework Educational Program for elementary and high school education and has the approval clause of the Ministry of Education and Culture for inclusion in the list of textbooks for the educational field of Geography. The printed version is followed by an expanding online version of the School Atlas of Today's Czech Republic, available in the online library of the Today's World program via www.dnesni-svet.cz.
