Three saints and one robbers, two princes and two Czech poets, a total of sixteen well -known and lesser -known personalities, which are present in this book by an experienced author of non -fact literature Jan Bauer, has one thing in common - a strange end. Someone was murdered, others behead or hanged on the gallows, others were expecting an early and somewhat mysterious death.
After four volumes of the "strange ends" comes the fifth, who with the previous ones does nothing in interest, in tension, but also in the novel the angle of historical perspective.
In the introduction, the author himself admits that sixteen personalities submitted somehow from previous books on "strange ends". This varied and somewhat disparate mixture, however, is not a defect in this case.
On the contrary, it represents a colorful and impressive view of Czech and Moravian distant and closer past.
