The basic training course is a three-month introductory training of the Army of the Czech Republic, which is traditionally held in Moravia in Vyškov. Newly minted professional soldiers learn basic military habits and skills. The course includes shooting, working with a map, throwing a grenade, marching, tactics, obstacle course, survival in the forest and above all a lot of theory and knowledge tests.
The booklet follows the individual's journey from filling out the non-binding registration form to the ceremonial withdrawal from the course. Diary entries focus on the course of training, its rhythm and important moments. When is a gun clean? What moral qualities should a soldier of the Army of the Czech Republic possess? And which squad will be the best?
