I have been growing medicinal plants in my garden for years, and I have the more heat-loving, subtropical ones in a greenhouse, which I managed to implement in December 2019. Subtropical plants have a tradition here since the Middle Ages, and due to warming, they can be grown in the southern corners of our country even in gardens outside greenhouses. I see medicines primarily as helpers and friends from the plant kingdom, who help us maintain or improve our health. It is necessary to have an active approach and follow the third path to health. The first occurs in the case of health problems, when we rely on a doctor. Second, we are looking for a healer. The third way means that we finally start to actively do something for our health ourselves. One of the possibilities is to learn about and use medicinal plants — the gifts of our mother Earth, who gives them to us with love. My wish is that through this book my home herbal world will become yours too.
