Four larger stories of Vlasta Pittnerová describe the difficult life of women in the village, which is not easy even today. The author shows recklessness in one of the desire for a higher spiritual level in others. She also wrote the sad fate of the widow with small children, or a woman rejected by the Society for a personal misdemeanor, but at the same time a testimony of what son's love can do. In all these stories, the author depicts an understanding of the complexity of the life of village women who had the opportunity to observe for years.
