Spain, 1929. Gala accompanies her husband, the poet Paul Éluard, to the fishing village of Cadaqués, where she accidentally meets Salvador Dalí, a painter ten years younger. She is fascinated by his personality and courtly behavior. He gradually opens her up to his completely different world - and he only has eyes for her.
However, the nascent love between them does not go unnoticed and Paul confronts Gala with a decision. With a heavy heart, she decides to return to Paris with him and their daughter - but she cannot forget Salvador...
