During a regular official trip of the royal scribe Jiří Adam from Dobronín to Dvor Králové, a murder occurs in the city. Although the town hall tries to keep the circumstances under wraps, panic quickly spreads among the people as the circumstances suggest that this is the intervention of dark forces. And so, despite the fact that it is not his duty, Jiří Adam from Dobronín begins to investigate with the help of bachelor Peter. But it's a race against time, as another equally mysterious murder is about to occur.
