The story of the author's inheritance takes place in the Highlands in recent years of World War II.
A young, inexperienced girl from the city arrives at a farm to make a governess to a four -year -old girl and partially replace her sick mother. Eva experiences here with her peers not only the cruelty of the Gestapo, but also perceives the beauty of the countryside, the purity of nature, well -being and enough. Love will eventually force her to return to the city and together with her mother will see both the end of the war and the meeting with the beloved man.
