White Water. A desolate village hidden in the shadow of the border mountains, where crowds of pilgrims once came to beg for help from the miraculous statue of the Virgin Mary. Lena Lagnerová is coming here today to hide from her past. Instead of a monastery with a large religious community, however, he finds only a few religious sisters, led by the peculiar nun Evarista. She came to Bílá Vody on the last night of September in 1950, when the communist regime dragged all the religious sisters to collection monasteries as part of Action R. The young Evarista then refused to return to civilian life. Like all nuns, she was put to forced labor and subjected to humiliation in a communist prison. However, Evarista's captors did not shake her faith or loyalty to the order. On the contrary. Only in her did they strengthen their determination to stand up to them. However, with that came the necessity to confront the regime sold to the church... However, Lena, going through the writings of the Bélovodsk monastery, soon discovers that Evarista's dramatic story is only just beginning, and she soon also understands that the demons circling the past of the local nuns have not disappeared, and what's more, they are part of of her own destiny.
