The textbook, which is based on the level of the publication English for intermediate and intermediate self-taught students, is intended not only for self-taught students, but can also be used in various language courses of the corresponding level. The textbook is focused on training three basic skills:
• understanding of the text
• listening with understanding
• guided practice of speaking
at a level that guarantees users to reach the level of proficiency C1 (advanced user) according to the recommendations of the Council of Europe. The textbook is equipped with a key to the exercises, an English-Czech dictionary and a dictionary of English grammatical terminology, as well as an overview of verb tenses and forms of irregular verbs. Two audio CDs are an integral part of the textbook. The final test will be used to check success.
