Daňka doesn't have a headache, but you can't always say the same about the owner of the field. The collection of short stories, like the author's previous works, mainly revolves around nature and hunting. In the stories, which are based on real events, the author accompanies the reader through the picturesque foothills. Warm meadows, the smell of fallen apples, the acrobatic stunts of roris crossing the azure sky, the glitter of the golden sun on the clear water surface, the endless silence of the forest valleys - all this forms the framework of hunting experiences and the eternal clash of life and death, which accompanies both the world of animals and people and on which the author views with wise insight. Aleš Dostál (*1946) was born in Ostrava, graduated from the Faculty of Forestry at the University of Agriculture in Brno and worked at the Forestry of the Czech Republic. He is the author of a number of novels and short stories.
