a true story about money laundering, murder and how to survive Putin's anger
When Bill Browder unveiled $ 230 million tax fraud in Russia, he got into the whirl of events that made him one of the main enemies of the Kremlin. After the violent death of his lawyer Sergei Magnský in Moscow, he gave up the investor's career and began to fully seek the punishment of people responsible for his friend's death. Therefore, he came up with a proposal for the so -called Magnitian law, which would allow governments to interrupt against corrupt officials anywhere in the world. Putin's regime immediately launched a counterattack. He chased Browder in Europe and the US and sought to release it to Russia, where he would probably meet the fate of Magnský. He also spent tens of millions of dollars to harm him in American and British courts. Browder's story resembles a political thriller, but describes real events that are a freezing testimony of the functioning of Putin's kleptocracy.
