Prague Mords, real criminal cases from the First Republic (1918–1938) are connected as a natural sequel to the previous volume of Prague Mord, real criminal cases from the monarchy (1880-1918). The book describes not only now forgotten cases, but also events that have become part of collective memory are distorted by the deposition of myths and fictitious narrative. These include the story of the Smíchov murderer with a gold teeth, the murder of Tyl in the Lesser Town (especially the strange journey of his body by the old Prague) and the tragic fate of the innkeeper of the innkeeper of Charles. The reader will discover the chronology of the never clarified deaths of Prague prostitutes (from Anna Kočová to the well -known case of Otýlie Vranská to Helena Kindlová), which again and again brought the press and detectives to considerate that Prague is a serial rapist. Marriage fraudsters are also one of the First Republic and its real and pretended elegance. The first to be discussed was called Karel Čapek and was born in the same year as the famous writer for whom he liked to set out. The other spoke English, claiming to be a large -scale washing machine, and seduced the renowned Prague beauty Mimi Hanlová. Another kind of fraudster was Egyptian dr. Osman Muchtár Fakri, who in the footsteps of the most reversible mystifiers of modern history sold a fictional concession for the construction of railway through the Arab desert to Mecca. The Prague Mords accompany their narration by precise determination of the places on which the described deeds have taken place, so the reader can go in their footsteps.
