The story of a twelve -year -old Jewish girl Mala, who was born in the Polish village of Tarnogrode. He and his family and siblings are experiencing idyllic childhood until the Nazis occupy Poland. The once relatively wealthy family is struggling with hunger, and the courageous small people sometimes robbed to get something to eat in the area. At the same time, her cat named Malach, which Hebrew means an angel. One day the family is included in the transport and the only one with his cat escapes. The survival race begins.
