In 1774 Ignác Schiffner in Dubá near the statue of St. Prokop brutally beat his father. After the crime he was soon caught, imprisoned and after a short trial sentenced to death by breaking around. The punishment was performed at the Mladá Boleslav scaffold on the hill typically called justice. He was the last person to be executed in our countries in this very cruel way. The gloomy event recorded by pastor Arnošt Glaser inspired one of the most important Czech poets Karel Hynek Mácha to write a lyric -epic composition May, which is considered to be the highest work of our romanticism and one of the most beautiful poems ever. In 2008 she also received film processing.
