Straat lives at a time when society is divided into those that inhabit the remains of the mainland, the wide ocean and air. He himself serves as a laum in an aeronaut. And because he is not very pleased in his life, he drinks.

One day in the storm falls overboard. The fall will survive, but if he knew what would follow, he would not be happy.

He will have to endure the sailor's society, who will be damaged by a vessel, will be taken by the pirates, he finds himself on the mainland without the necessary permission, becomes hunting game of cruel slave, encounters a boy looking for a father among aeronizers, trying to disappear from the list of dead lanterns… But most importantly - it almost causes a fragile ceasefire between aeronizers, sailors and landlords.
