The first joint case leads Commissioner Daniel Buchholz and his colleague Nina Salomon on the trail of the mysterious Internet forum Morituri, which is located in a difficult-to-access part of the Internet known as the darknet. Its members can propose the names of potential candidates and then vote on them. The winners are pre-sentenced to death. But users of a forum located in an anonymous part of the Internet come and go like shadows, leaving no traces behind.
